TREATMENT AT KLCC
Acupuncture
Fine-needle treatment in King’s Lynn used as part of individual musculoskeletal care.
What is acupuncture?
Acupuncture uses very fine, sterile, single-use needles placed at carefully selected points on the body. Within musculoskeletal care it may be considered as one option for short-term symptom relief in selected patients, alongside other appropriate treatment and advice.
Your practitioner considers your symptoms, health history, examination findings and goals before deciding whether acupuncture is appropriate for you.

How it may support musculoskeletal care
When clinically appropriate, acupuncture can form one part of a broader musculoskeletal care plan alongside hands-on treatment, movement advice or rehabilitation. Your practitioner will explain why it is being considered and what outcome is realistically expected.
What may it be considered for?
- Short-term relief of some neck or low-back pain
- Tension-type headache symptoms where appropriate
- Some joint-related musculoskeletal pain
- Muscle tightness or local tenderness as part of a wider care plan
Suitability varies from person to person. Acupuncture is not presented as a cure or as a guaranteed treatment outcome, and referral or a different approach may be more appropriate in some cases.

What does treatment feel like?
Acupuncture needles are much finer than needles used for injections. Many people feel very little as they are inserted, although a brief pinch, ache, heaviness, warmth or tingling can occur. Your practitioner explains the proposed treatment first and can adjust or stop at any time.
Safety and suitability
We use sterile, single-use needles and check relevant health information before treatment. Please tell your practitioner about medication, pregnancy, bleeding or clotting problems, needle anxiety, implanted medical devices or other significant health concerns.
